I’ve been held back from attending SXSW before for money reasons and also for not being able to take time off of work, but I made a promise. After reading all of the tweets, blog posts, podcasts and hearing the chatter from everybody from 2008 I made a promise that I would get to SXSW Interactive in 2009 no matter what. That time has come and I’m happy to say that I will see you in Austin at the Omni and around town!
I’ve created my card that I’ll be handing out so look for that and feel free to leave feedback on the card as well in the comments.

Always fun to see people piggyback on national brand recognition… They kind of teed that up for you eh? :)
Looks good.
love the colors, use of C.Schwab reference and general layout. not crazy about font choice, alignment or font sizing. could have used more push and pull, imo. plus, since we’re going ad-esque, i feel like the “as seen at” could have been a graphic callout ala “as seen on tv” which would have completed the whole thought.
dude, u asked.
Well it’s not the best but I feel I need to remind everybody that I’m soooo not a designer lol… spending endless hours choosing fonts is not my cup-o-tea. The as seen on TV thing, where I can see what you mean, I think is overboard and would defeat the expertise theory behind the Talk to Chuck branding.
I recognized the look without recognizing the company. Might have something to do with my age, but I really like the play (ploy?). I like the subdued colors and have a thing for rounded edges. I’d talk to you! ;)
Have fun in Austin!
I’ll be going to SXSWi as well, and it will be my first time!
@alanhogan on Twitter
I think this is a better idea than “Chuckr.”
Take all that bullshit text off of there and just have @chuckreynolds in the dark area and the “talk to chuck thing…you don’t need anything else for the nerd convention – they will know.
Less is more Charlie…
Whilst I’ve never been to SXSW to negate your comment with some witty statistical factiod, I have spoken with a handful of experienced visitors and got some reliable intel. The twitter name solves both my name and the twitter account with the @ symbol, the email is for sign-ups to lists (which now I’m thinking I should have made an alias like [email protected] but oh well) or instant adding to contact lists, and the 50500 text will drop all of my other information they’d ever need.
Next year you should try “two buck chuck” as a marketing approach instead of Schwab.
Just sayin :)
